Major patches in Deadlock

A major patch has been released in Deadlock: rework of heroes, items, and game mechanics

The developers of Deadlock have released a large update that affects almost all aspects of the game: from the basic stats of defensive structures to the balance of hero abilities. Many mechanics have been reworked in the patch, bugs have been fixed, and key parameters have been adjusted. Here are the main changes.

General changes

  • Guardian: base turret health reduced from 5500 to 4000 – they are now easier to destroy.

  • Zipline: the rope capture zone is now slightly shifted towards the enemy base, and the minimum protected zone near your base has been reduced. This should speed up rotations and add aggression.

  • Shrines: health has been adjusted (the first shrine is easier, the second one is harder). Shrine attacks no longer hit heroes standing under them.

  • Soldiers: Super Troopers have been buffed (bonus damage +60%), Medic Troopers now increase damage over time, soldiers regenerate health out of combat, and wave intervals are reduced after the 35th minute.

  • Bosses and structures: increased rewards for killing Base Guardians, Walkers, Shrines and Mid Boss. Mid Boss health has been increased, the global announcement threshold has been lowered, and resistance to debuffs has been added.

  • Street Brawl mode: the item slot limit has been removed.

Heroes

All heroes have had their base health increased by 40, health growth is now +4 and 8%, and bonuses from investing in the Vitality stat have been increased by 12%. This will make heroes tankier at all stages of the game.

Items

  • A new T1 item for Spirit has been added: Golden Goose Egg (now gives a buff every 150 souls).

  • Many items have been changed: High-Velocity Rounds, Long Range, Active Reload, Split Shot, Melee Charge, Spirit Shredder Bullets, Weakening Headshot, Ballistic Enchantment, Hunter's Aura, Weighted Shots, Express Shot, Blood Tribute, Spirit Rend, Crushing Fists, Frenzy, Spiritual Overflow, Restorative Locket, Return Fire, Weapon Shielding, Bullet Resilience, Lifestrike, Majestic Leap, Trophy Collector, Dispel Magic, Fortitude, Spellbreaker, Diviner's Kevlar, Inhibitor, Cheat Death, Colossus, Siphon Bullets, and others.

  • Vortex Web: on alternative cast it now applies only to units – more convenient for wave control.

Hero changes (key points)

Abrams

  • Bullet damage reduced, Siphon Life is now circular, radius reduced, but lifesteal increased. Shoulder Charge rebalanced, Seismic Impact now aims faster.

Apollo

  • Riposte fixes, Flawless Advance is now interrupted by stun. Ultimate damage adjusted.

Bebop

  • Hook can now be canceled.

Billy

  • Bashdown radius reduced, Rising Ram received new upgrades, Blasted changed, Chain Gang reworked.

Calico

  • Bullet gravity removed, Gloom Bombs adjusted, Leaping Slash is now more accurate, Ava rebalanced, Return To Shadows improved.

Celeste

  • Gravity reduced, air control adjusted. Light Eater damage reduced, Shining Wonder no longer resets cooldown on a miss.

Doorman

  • Pistol now pierces targets, Call Bell split into impact and explosion damage, Doorway and Luggage Cart improved, Hotel Guest changed.

Drifter

  • Rend range reduced, cooldown increased, Stalker's Mark and Bloodscent reworked, Eternal Night now isolates targets.

Dynamo

  • Bullet damage increased, Kinetic Pulse received new T1 and T2, Quantum Entanglement no longer gives attack speed, Rejuvenating Aurora and Singularity changed.

Graves

  • Grasping Hands are more responsive, immobilization duration reduced.

Haze

  • Spirit cost for upgrades reduced, Sleep Dagger nerfed, Smoke Bomb and Fixation adjusted, Bullet Dance now grants evasion.

Infernus

  • Napalm and Flame Dash rebalanced, Afterburn changed, Concussive Combustion received new upgrades.

Ivy

  • Gravity added, bullet damage reduced, Kudzu Bomb renamed to Entangling Thorns, Watcher's Covenant to Kudzu Connection, Stone Form and Air Drop significantly changed.

Kelvin

  • Frost Grenade now has 2 charges and healing, Ice Path improved, Arctic Beam adjusted, Frozen Shelter reworked.

Lady Geist

  • Essence Bomb now deals percentage damage, Life Drain and Soul Exchange changed.

Lash

  • Ground Strike bug fixed, Flog and Death Slam rebalanced, new upgrades added.

McGinnis

  • Mini Turret improved, Medicinal Specter and Spectral Wall changed, Heavy Barrage duration reduced but damage increased.

Mina

  • Rake cooldown increased, healing on kill reduced, Sanguine Retreat, Love Bites and Nox Nostra adjusted.

Mirage

  • Fire Scarabs reworked (now steal health and provide a damage buff), Tornado renamed to Dust Devil, Djinn's Mark and Traveler changed.

Mo & Krill

  • Scorn, Burrow, Sand Blast and Combo received many changes, including shifting upgrades between them.

Paige

  • Conjure Dragon renamed to Bookwyrm, Plot Armor and Captivating Read adjusted.

Paradox

  • Pulse Grenade radius reduced, Time Wall now speeds up ally bullets, Kinetic Carbine and Paradoxical Swap changed.

Pocket

  • Barrage and Flying Cloak improved, Enchanter's Satchel and Affliction rebalanced (Affliction now prevents healing).

Rem

  • Lil Helpers healing reduced, Naptime nerfed.

Seven

  • Movement speed no longer scales with Spirit, Lightning Ball, Static Charge, Power Surge and Storm Cloud changed.

Shiv

  • Stamina reduced, Serrated Knives no longer deal collision damage, Bleed buffed, Slice and Dice and Killing Blow reworked.

Silver

  • Mauling Leap, Tail Whack and Lycan Curse adjusted.

Victor

  • Pain Battery, Jumpstart, Aura of Suffering and Shocking Reanimation received numerous changes.

Vindicta

  • Attack speed no longer scales with Spirit, bullet damage now scales; Stake, Flight, Crow Familiar and Assassinate changed.

Viscous

  • Splatter now bounces by default, The Cube and Puddle Punch improved, Goo Ball can no longer move the urn.

Warden

  • Alchemical Flask, Willpower, Binding Word and Last Stand rebalanced.

Wraith

  • Card Trick now has suits with unique bonuses (spades, diamonds, hearts, clubs, joker), Full Auto no longer affects allies, Telekinesis reworked.

Yamato

  • Power Slash no longer fires automatically; you can now parry while channeling. Flying Slash now deals melee damage, Crimson Slash and Shadow Transformation changed.

Bug fixes

  • Numerous bugs have been fixed, including issues with Quicksilver Reload on Drifter, bonus damage for Vindicta, extra damage on Puddle Punch for Viscous, as well as various problems with the camera, ability usage, and item interactions.
